Tell me about the artists you use We currently have access to 18 freelance artists, all of whom have graduated from art colleges and the majority have over 15 years experience of painting professionally. Based in boutique art studios in Amsterdam, St Petersburg and Croatia, our selected artists master the techniques of reproducing any fine art style and each of them specialises in a particular style. For instance, recreating a work in an impressionist style or painting a classical work call for completely different skills and procedures. So how do you work out the price of my painting? The price of your painting will depend on the required size and the complexity of the content. For replica paintings, we have 3 price bands (A, B and C). For portraits, prices increase depending on the number of people or pets featured How long will it take for the artist to complete my painting? 4-6 weeks. All paintings start their lives as a blank canvas, and please remember oils need time to dry too. Can you guarantee the quality? Yes, all paintings will be of the same excellent quality on display in our painting portfolio. What happens if I don’t like it? All paintings come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Will you send me a photo image of my finished painting for approval before delivery? Yes, we will email you a good quality photograph of your painting as soon as it is completed. Are changes able to be made after I’ve seen the photo image of the finished painting? Yes, you will be able to request changes (however small) to your painting once you’ve seen the photograph. Do you charge extra for alternations to be made? No, you will not be charged for any alterations requested. What oils and materials are used? Our Artists are only permitted to use premium oil paints (predominantly Windsor & Newton) on top quality linen canvases ensuring you get the best painting possible. Is it legal to do replicas of famous paintings? Yes. Copyright law expires 70 years after an artist’s death. This means you are currently able to commission an exact replica of any artwork painted by any artist who died prior to 1938. Will my artist sign our painting? Yes, your artist will be able to sign their own name on replica paintings (NB. Not that of the original artist), portraits and designer art. Can I really choose my painting in any size I wish for? Yes. The biggest request so far is for a 5 metre x 1 metre canvas. Can I have my portrait painted in a particular art style? Great question. Yes, if desired you can request your portrait in your chosen art style or in the style of particular artist. Think Van Gogh, Impressionist, Pop Art... The choice is down to you. Is it possible to take images (people, pets or backgrounds) from two or more different photos and include them all in a painting? Yes. Simply provide all the images you wish the artist to use, along with a detailed description of how you wish the people / pets / background etc to be arranged. Can I change the colours of original masterpieces to those that will best match my home décor? Yes. If possible, please supply colour samples of the tones you would like the artist to match. Can I give your colour swatches to ensure that the artist gets the colour perfectly matching the tone that I’m after? Yes, of course. We will then pass on to artist to work from. As an example, could I change the two faces in Klimt’s “The Kiss” painting to those of my wife and I? Absolutely. All you need to do is supply a good quality photo (preferably saved on a disc) of the two of you, and our selected artist will do the rest for you. Can your artists paint in acrylics and water colours too? Yes. Several of our artists are specialists in painting with acrylics and water colours.
